1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the SousChef application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

SousChef is a meal planning and nutrition tracking application that provides:

• AI-generated personalized meal plans based on your fitness goals
• Macro and calorie tracking tools
• Voice logging and barcode scanning for meal tracking
• Shopping list generation
• Progress monitoring and analytics

3. Subscription and Payment

SousChef offers subscription-based access to premium features.

3.1 Free Trial

New users may be eligible for a free trial period. At the end of the trial, your subscription will automatically begin unless cancelled.

3.2 Subscription Plans

We offer weekly and monthly subscription options. Prices are displayed in the App and may vary by region.

3.3 Billing

Subscriptions are billed through Apple's App Store. Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.

3.4 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings. Cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods.

4. User Accounts

To use SousChef, you must create an account. You are responsible for:

• Providing accurate and complete information
• Maintaining the security of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use

IMPORTANT: SousChef is designed for general wellness and informational purposes only. The App is NOT a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

• Always consult with a qualified healthcare provider before starting any diet or nutrition program
• The meal plans and nutritional information provided are estimates and may not be accurate for your specific needs
• If you have any medical conditions, allergies, or dietary restrictions, consult your doctor before using this App
• Stop using the App and seek medical attention if you experience any adverse health effects

By using SousChef, you acknowledge that you assume full responsibility for your health decisions.

6. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the App or servers
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the App
• Use the App to transmit harmful code or malware
• Share your account credentials with others

7. Intellectual Property

All content in the App, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, audio clips, and software, is the property of SousChef or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.

8. Data Collection and Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the App, you consent to the collection and use of your data as described in the Privacy Policy.

8.1 Personal and Health Data Collection

To provide personalized meal plans and nutrition tracking, SousChef collects and processes the following types of data:

• Personal Information: Name, email address, and account credentials
• Biometric and Health Data: Age, gender, height, weight, and calculated BMI
• Fitness Information: Fitness goals (e.g., weight loss, muscle gain), activity level, and activity types
• Dietary Preferences: Diet type (e.g., vegetarian, keto), dietary restrictions, and allergies
• Lifestyle Preferences: Meals per day, cooking time preferences, budget preferences, and unit system (metric/imperial)
• Usage Data: Meal logging, progress tracking, and app analytics

8.2 AI Processing

Your personal and health data is processed by artificial intelligence (AI) systems to generate personalized meal plans tailored to your specific needs and goals. By using SousChef, you explicitly consent to the processing of your data through AI-powered services. Your data is transmitted securely to our backend systems and third-party AI providers for this purpose.

8.3 Data Security and Storage

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data. Your information is stored securely in encrypted databases and transmitted over secure connections. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8.4 Your Data Rights

You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time through the Profile settings in the App. Upon account deletion, your personal data will be permanently removed from our systems within a reasonable timeframe, subject to legal retention requirements.

The App may integrate with third-party services (such as authentication providers). Your use of such services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the content or practices of third-party services.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SOUSCHEF SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR HEALTH, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SousChef and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

13. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or via email. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

14. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which SousChef operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.
